Good Times

German Good Times magazine, No. 3, June/July 2008 has a four pages article on glam rock. Although Slade are featured on the cover, they are hardly mentioned in the article. They get 5 lines on page two of the article along with a comparison between the clothes of Dave and Brian Eno and then they get the two last paragraphs of the article, stating that Slade was the only band to carry on with glam rock after the genre had died out.
The article is written from a very ”German” point of view, stating that Sweet was the most successful glam rock band, ever. Which of course they weren’t, except in Germany where Sweet singles always went to No. 1. As opposed to Slade’s, as Slade never had a No. 1 hit in that particular country.
The magazine also has two pages of ”20 essential glam singles” where ’Coz I Luv You is included. The essentiality of all of the singles are, however, difficult to spot, as some of them have no place in glam history at all.
